Our Party
ACDP is the local home for Democrats in Fort Wayne and Allen County. We recruit and train candidates, organize volunteers, and do the on-the-ground work required to build elections. We provide volunteer opportunities like phone banking and canvassing, while also training poll workers to ensure Election Day is a smooth, well-staffed process. ACDP will continue to fight for a stronger local government that reflects the communities who live here.

Our Advisory Council meets each month with our Central Committee to review budgets, create fundraising events, share caucus progress, determine ways to grow our party, and more. It is made up of our caucus leaders, club presidents, communication advisor, and election board representative. Together, we are mobilizing our supporters to create a better, bluer Allen County.

The Allen County Democratic Veterans Caucus is united by a commitment to serve those who served. We work to ensure veterans and their dependents have access to the benefits and resources they have earned, advocate for veteran interests at every level of government, and advance Democratic candidates and values across our region. We believe that veterans — bound by an oath to defend the Constitution — have a particular stake in the health of our democracy, and we are committed to strengthening it.

IDAAC/FWC’s goal is: to enhance the Democratic Party’s inclusion of African Americans in decision-making, elections, public office appointments, and party positions; to promote the active participation of African Americans in the local, state, and national levels of the democratic process; to support the right of the African American Community to control its own institutions as it relates to political empowerment, international policy, communications, rural development, environmental protections, and community self-determination.

A majority of Allen County is made up of women but when it comes to elected government officials, women are in the minority. The Democratic Women’s Club of Allen County seeks to change that. We are a group with the simple goal to help support and elect Democratic women throughout the county while also hosting speakers and advocating for positions important to all women, regardless of political affiliation. Allen County Stonewall Democrats:
The Allen County Stonewall Democrats are the LGBTQ+ constituency caucus of the Allen County Democratic Party. We are committed to pushing for civil equality for the LGBTQ+ community. We accomplish this by endorsing, supporting, and voting for Democratic candidates who share our values. When LGBTQ+ elected leaders are in the room, they humanize our lives, impact policy and legislative debates, and influence lawmaker colleagues to vote in favor of equality. LGBTQ+ elected officials are our best defense against anti-LGBTQ+ efforts at all levels of government, and are best positioned to advance equality for our community.
